Geoff Warren - Drones/UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems)

Warren, Geoff 2022

Geoff Warren grew up in Davis County and went to Davis High. Following a decade of working in management and sales he pursued a Physics Teaching degree with a minor in Mathematics from Weber State University. He has since completed a Master of Education Degree with an emphasis in Integrated Curriculum from the American College of Education and will complete his Education Administration endorsement in 2022.

After teaching Physics, AP Physics, Astronomy, Robotics, Secondary Math II, and being the advisor for MESA and various other clubs at Syracuse High for six years, he is ready to move on to a new challenge...drones. As one of the pioneering leaders in the addition of Unmanned Aerial Systems courses in the second largest district in Utah, he is on the bleeding edge of drone education in the state and is helping to shape K12 Drone Education standards and goals statewide.

Geoff has a passion for teaching which is evident in the activities he directs. Not only is he an active athlete in pickleball, disc golf, mountain and road biking, soccer, and the occasional Thanksgiving Day "Turkey Bowl", but he is also a competitive gamer both digitally and over-the-board and has a collection of over 150 board games. This competitive spirit is evident in the experiences and gamified instruction he provides to his students.
